Studio History
Josh Delson founded Unexpected Accessories in 2024, inspired by his early years making games in Adobe Flash and a love for giving back to his local community. The studio is built around its people, aligning their work with personal and career goals while giving them space to grow, experiment, and make a meaningful impact to gamers.

Addie Shen is a math based puzzle shooter. Play solo, team up in co-op, or practice your skills to stop the evil PEMDAS minions. Can you save the world with math?
Game Description (Long Version)
Addie Shen is a first person puzzle shooter infused with gamified ways to practice math skills, with difficulty settings ranging from algebra to calculus. Created in response to the growing post-pandemic learning gap, the game transforms exercises inspired by real world after school programs. Players use FPS mechanics to blast answers, solve environmental puzzles, battle procedural enemies, and work together in local co-op. The goal is simple: build a genuinely fun FPS where players just happen to be practicing math along the way.
With Story Mode, Practice Mode, and Multiplayer Mode, Addie Shen has been showcased at game festivals around the world, helping validate that its math driven mechanics can be just as fun and engaging as the FPS gameplay surrounding them. The free Steam demo launches October 19, 2026, followed by Steam Early Access in December 2026. Can you save the world with math?
