Description
At Unexpected Accessories, our goal is to create unforgettable experiences! To do so, we focus on designing experimental gameplay mixed with a wholesome atmosphere. We’re specifically tapping into niche markets that studios aren’t maximizing on and designing short/sweet games that anyone can play.
History
The Start
Unexpected Accessories unofficially formed in 2023 after Josh Delson set out to prototype a once-in-a-lifetime video game. With Josh's experience completing 50+ game jams prior to the pandemic, production expertise building up an EA game/studio from the ground up, and recognition as an alternative controller game developer, he realized there was potential in expanding to a studio focused on making an innovative game no one has experienced before.
Now...
Through Josh's years as a jury member of the Game Developer Choice Awards (GDCA), he used that curating experience to research industry trends studios weren't maximizing on. In 2024, he officially started up Unexpected Accessories, bringing together a part-time development team of industry veterans and indie developers, each with a personal goal that aligns with the studio's mission. Currently, Unexpected Accessories is making its first game, EOPRISM.

EOPRISM
Description
Battle foes and save the world from the Order of Operations in this high-stakes math shooter!
Summary
EOPRISM is the educational puzzler that Millennial & Gen Z gamers wished they grew up with. You'll shoot solutions at your foes and obstacles as you quickly solve mathematical expressions in our 3 available game modes.
Story Mode is a short but re-playable adventure where no two runs are the same. Jump between quadrants, dodge tricky tangents, and foil The Ianfinite's (Villain) calculated plans with the future of Math. With procedurally generated equations, every playthrough is a fresh challenge in an endless loop of fast-paced problem-solving.
Practice Mode reinvents flash cards with a dynamic, customizable challenge. Train your wits from basic algebra to college calculus in an interactive, fast-paced way—no boring drills, just pure number-crunching action.
Challenge Mode (Coming Soon) brings fast-paced, split-screen action to local co-op. Team up for advanced mini-games, survive endless enemy waves, or battle it out in PvP to be crowned GCF (Greatest Calculator Fighter). Whether cooperating or competing, it’s math-driven mayhem at its finest.
EOPRISM will contain 5 Story Mode Missions, 1 Practice Mode Level, and 2 Challenge Modes where you can play with a friend in our wave based survival level and PvP level. Players can customize the difficulty of each mode as well to play with basic algebra all the way to college calculus. Every mode has procedurally generated math equations creating infinite playthroughs.
